What data we collect
• Bookings and orders: name, email address, phone number (if given), billing and shipping address, the workshop or products you booked, and your order history.
• Payments: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Newsletter: your email address and, if given, your name, plus whether you open or click our emails.
• Contact: whatever you send us by email, contact form or social media.
• Website use: technical data such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited and referring site, collected through cookies and similar tools.

Why we use it
• To take your booking or order, process payment, ship your kit and send confirmations (contract).
• To answer your questions and give support (contract or legitimate interest).
• To send newsletters and offers, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email (consent).
• To run, secure and improve our website and understand which marketing works (legitimate interest, or consent where required).
• To keep accounting records as required by Swiss law (legal obligation).

Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Culto Solar:
• Squarespace (website, online store, bookings and email campaigns), USA and Ireland
• Stripe (card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Link), USA and Ireland
• Weglot (German translation of the website), France
• Google (Analytics, Google Merchant Center and Google Shopping), USA
• Pinterest and Meta/Instagram (social features and, with your consent, advertising measurement), USA
• Metricool (social media and website statistics), Spain
• Shipping partners such as Swiss Post, to deliver your order

Some of these providers are in countries, such as the USA, that may not offer the same level of data protection as Switzerland. In those cases we rely on the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the FDPIC and the European Commission.

Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies keep the site and checkout working. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep it
• Order and booking records: 10 years, as Swiss accounting law requires.
• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
• Emails and messages: as long as needed to answer you, then deleted within 2 years.
• Website statistics: up to 26 months.

Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
• tell you what data we hold about you and get a copy of it
• correct data that is wrong
• delete your data, unless we must keep it by law
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to its use
• withdraw your consent, for example to our newsletter

Write to hello@cultosolar.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority.
