Using the acrylic rolling plate

The acrylic rolling plate helps you create smooth, even coils of silver clay — perfect for rings and bands.

1. Shape the clay

Create a ball of clay in between your fingers.

2. Roll with the plate

Place the acrylic plate flat over the clay and roll back and forth using long, gentle strokes.

Keep the plate level and apply even pressure so the clay rotates underneath and gradually forms a smooth, even coil.

3. Adjust the shape

Continue rolling until you reach your desired thickness.

For a round band, keep the pressure light and even.

For a flat band, first create an even coil, then gently press down with the acrylic plate to flatten it to your desired width and thickness.
